Understanding
the NDIS...

The NDIS is a vital lifeline, offering tailored government funding to empower individuals under 65 with disabilities, ensuring access to essential care and support for greater independence and well-being.

Before the NDIS was introduced, disability services in Australia had been a bit of a hit and miss affair. The funding you received depended on how, when and where you acquired your disability, as well as your post code. Some people got enough funding while others got none. Following a Federal Government inquiry, there was consensus that people with a disability deserved a fairer system and more control so in July 2013, the NDIS was introduced.

If you have a permanent disability and meet certain other eligibility requirements, we can help you access the NDIS. We have developed a checklist that can assist you in determining your eligibility. It is important to understand how the NDIS works and whether you are eligible to participate. If you are, we will develop a plan with the NDIS to help you access the support you need. Your plan will be reviewed over time, so you’ll get the right support for as long as you need it.

We understand that every participant will have different goals and objectives. More importantly each participant may also have complex support needs. We take a great deal of time and care whilst assisting you develop your NDIS plan and equally as much care once we are executing your plans with you.

NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (previously the NDIS Price Guide) assist participants and disability support providers in understanding how price controls for supports and services work in the NDIS. Price regulation is in place to ensure that participants receive value for money in the supports that they receive. The Support Catalogue lists all available supports providers can use when lodging a payment request. It also provides information on the current (and previous) price limits for each support item and indicates which claim types (travel, non-face-to-face, etc.) apply for each price-limited support item.
